When you find a book you want, bring it to the circulation desk. If you can't find the material you are looking for, be sure to ask the LMC Director, an adult LMC aide, or a student LMC aide.
To check out a book, you must present your LMC card or tell your name or LMC number to the person working on the online circulation system. Due-date slips are located in a box on the circulation desk. The stamped due-date slip tells you when the book is due. Be sure to put a date-due slip in your book pocket so you'll remember when the book is due.
For students in 5th grade and older, there is usually no limit to the number of materials which can be checked out in one time(within reason). However, it is the responsibility of the student to return items promptly. Students will be held liable for their overdue fines.
Current magazines may only be checked out for one day. They should be returned the next day since they are popular. and in high demand. Be considerate of others.
Books, back issues of periodicals, and vertical file materials may be checked out for approximately four weeks.
If no one has asked to reserve the book you'd like to renew, you may check it out for an additional loan period. All you have to do is bring the book back to the LMC or have the person working at circulation look up your borrower status and check the book out to you again.
However, if another person has requested the book, you should return it by the due date or sooner if possible.
