A aggro = Means agressive Air Dog = Snowboarder who loves to get alot of air off of jumps B backside = the edge of the snowboard where the heels are baggies = loose fitting pants bail = to exit beat = describes something bad bindings = they "bind" the snowboarder to the board boag = to screw up Betty = female snowboarder Bro = Male snowboarder boardercross = 6 snowboarders race on a narrow course with man-made jumps bone = to accentuate bonk = to hit something hard boost = to catch air out of the pipe brah = slang for bro bust = to start something C carve = to cut up the hill with sharp turns corduroy = freshly groomed snow crater = to land a jump bad D duck-footed = in a stance when the toes point outward dude = any person E eggbeater = bad fall F fakie = to ride backwards fall line = staightest line down the hill flail = to perform very poorly flat bottom = base of the halfpipe Freerider = person who does not compete but does ride for money frontside = side of board where toes rest G goofy footer = anyone who rides with right foot forward. grab = when the board is grabbed while in the air grind = to slide the board down a rail or tree that is perpendicual to the fall line grommet = young snowboarder H halfpipe = deep trough in the snow used for performing tricks hit = a spot or jump where a trick can be performed hospital air = air that is dangerously high huck = to jump recklessly huckfest = when riders compete trying to catch bigger and bigger air I invert = a trick when the rider goes upside down J Jibber = a freestyle rider K kicker = a jump L lame = something very uncool leash = safety device so that the board stays connected to the rider lip = top edge of the pipe or jump N new school = modern techniques noodle = something soft O old school = primitive techniques ollie = when tail of board is used as a spring to jump P phat = describes something good in a soulfull pipe = short for halfpipe poach = to ride a closed run poseur = a person who pretends to be something he\she is not Pro Bro = a professional boarder who rides for cash R rail = to slide down inanimate objects S skinny = the truth spew = to talk alot about oneself T 'tude = a snowboarders attitude tweak = to accentuate V vert = short for vertical X xer = member of generation X xtreme = extreme Y yahoo = tourist Z zoned = totally unfocused
