Practical Millenium Ideas
Individual:
* Plan to make a retreat
* Make a pilgrimage, even to your diocesan Cathedral ... alone, or in a group
* Celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation or seek spiritual direction
* Read and pray each day the Scriptures or Sunday Mass Readings
* Read two pages of a Catholic magazine or spiritual book each day
* Increase your personal prayer time
* Learn more about Catholic Christian tradition and teachings
* Participate in the Eucharist regularly
* Visit Church and spend some time before the Blessed Sacrament
* Practice forgiving yourself and othersFamily:
* Make a Marriage Encounter weekend
* Develop family and household forms of daily prayer and ritual
* Celebrate the liturgical seasons at home
* Share at least one meal together as a family daily
* Designate one evening a week (or month) as a family night
* Designate and bless a door of your home as a holy door
* Designate a home prayer place, use it
* Pray for your family members and friends. Tell them about it!

* Form a study-sharing group (bible, prayer, Vatican II, current issues)

* Think of someone you'd like to serve you a priest or religious ... let them know
* Write to a priest, religious or seminarian from your parish or diocese
* Tell your priest or religious what you like about their ministry
* Seek your pastor's permission to form an evangelization committee
* Support and strengthen the Church's ministers...ordained, religious and lay
* Foster ethnic and multi-cultural celebrations in your parish
* Promote parish workshops and retreats to explore issues in the
workplace in the light of Christian spirituality.
